Introducing just romania and friends

This small company was founded and is run by James Greig. James knows much about Romania and its people, having worked on the Romanian Black Sea Coast and in the Carpathian Mountains of Transylvania as a travel and ski representative and area manager for some of the UK's major tour operators during the travel boom period of the early 80's.

Shortly after the Revolution in the early nineties, James was  co-founder and  Managing Director of Romania Travel Centre, a specialist tour operator to  Romania. This company is continuing its success today.

Moving on into the new millenium James became an events fundraiser for the UK based charity, Hospice of Hope Romania (Casa Sperantei), which not long ago opened the first in-patient hospice in the Transylvanian city of Brasov. James was responsible for creating and organising  sponsored treks and bike rides in the Carpathian Mountains to raise funds for the new hospice. These challenges were a great success and also helped to raise awareness of the continuing plight of so many disadvantaged people in Romania. Apart from setting up and running just romania, James is also a freelance fundraiser for local and international charitable organisations.

The objective of  just romania is to help alleviate severe poverty and deprivation in Romania through charitable travel and fundraising events. just romania also encourages and supports the development of responsible tourism in Romania.
